PANJIM: In a major drug raid in the State, the Crime Branch arrested natives from Maharashtra and Telangana for possessing banned substances worth Rs 8.50 lakh during a raid at Dona Paula.

Ayan Ali Khan, age 42 of La Chowni, Yakuthpura Hyderabad Telangana, Valentine Pereira, age 35 yrs and Strome Fernandes, age 27 years, from Bandra West Mumbai Maharashtra have been arrested in the raid.
As per the information, Ayan was found having concealed the drugs in his car, one autopress transparent polythene bag containing in it white crystal powder wilder substance suspected to be MDMA, weighing 82.30 grammes.
Pereira and Fernandes had concealed them in one transparent polythene bag containing in it 1.71 grammes white colour crystal powder substance suspected to be MDMA, and one transparent polythene bag containing in it L17 gratis white colour crystal powder substance suspected to be MDMA in their luggage bags kept in an hotel at Dona Paula, respectively.
The drugs are all approximately worth Rs 8,50,000 in the international market.
The Mercedes Benz car worth Rs 30 lakh and cash of Rs 15,000 and other articles were attached under the Panchanama. All accused reportedly hatched criminal conspiracy. Further investigation is in progress, police said.
