PANJIM: Central Bank of India’s gross income has registered a growth of 15.28% from Rs 5819 crore in Q3 FY 2012-13 to Rs 6708 crore in Q3 FY 2013-14 on y-o-y basis. Total interest income registered a growth of 16.33% from Rs 5462 crore Q3 FY 2012-13 to Rs 6354 crore, while the net interest income witnessed a growth of 28.23% from Rs 1410 crore in Q3 FY 2012-13 to Rs 1808 crore in Q3 FY 2013-14. Operating profit of the bank stood at Rs 869 crore as on December 31, 2013 compared to Rs 779 crore as on December 31, 2012 registering y-o-y growth of 11.55%. Bank recorded net profit of Rs 62 crore as on December 31, 2013 compared to net loss of Rs 1509 crore in September 2013-14 Qtr. Provision coverage ratio improved from 41.20% to 52.28% y-o-y.
The total business of bank increased to Rs 412164 crore as on December 2013 compared to Rs 370695 crore as on December 2012, registering y-o-y growth of 11.19%. Total deposits grew by 9.84% on y-o-y basis to Rs 233084 crore from Rs 212201 crore in December 2012.
