VASCO: Our Lady of Perpetua Succorro, Cortalim got the better of St. Anne High School, Kelosim 3-0 in the U-17Subroto Mukherjee girls category Mormugao Talka at Tilak Stadium, on Monday.
Viniha Vaz, Vanisha, Hezal Mendes scored a goal each for the winners.
In the U-17 boys category, Regina Mundi High School, Chicalim defeated Navy Children’s School, Chicalim by a solitary goal. The all important goal was scored by Aaron Fernandes.
In the U-14 boys, Regina Mundi High School, Chicalim blanked Navy Childrens School, Chicalim 5-0 Shaun Lucas and Judah netted a brace each while Jason Vaz scored a goal.
In another match, St. Andrew’s High School, Vasco shot-out Our Lady of Perpetua Succorro, Cortalim 5-4 via the tie-breaker.
The full time score was 2-2. Yunus Shaikh netted a brace for the winners while Wilroy Dias and Mason Vaz scored a goal each for the Cortalim side.
In the resultant tie-breaker, St Andrew’s HS proved to be the better shooters.
