Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has hit back at taxi operators stating that the govt does not necessarily have to listen to the taxi owners. He affirmed that the govt wants to introduce app-based taxis for the benefit of locals. Although there are a few taxi operators who oppose app-based taxis, Godinho stated the ones who oppose app-based taxis instigate the rest. However, he said a decision will be made with members of the taxi association.
