Goa Police qualify for semis

Goa Police moved into the semi-finals of Bandodkar cricket routing Navhind Cricket Club by a hefty margin of 112 runs at Panjim Gymkhana ground, Campal, here.
The highlight of the match was a superb strike of 116 by Krishna Volvoikar of Goa Police. His partner Vinod Wilson contributed 35.
Goa Police won the toss, and electing to bat first, managed to score 238 runs for all out in 37.5 overs.
In reply, Navhind Cricket Club struggled to score 126 runs in 31.5 overs.
Scoreboard: Goa Police: Krishna Volvoikar 116, Vinod Wilson 35, Abhijeet Talekar 12, Krishna Sinari 12, Krishna Sawant 11, Ayub Khan 10, Vivek Karapurkar 10 runs. Vasudev Mangueshkar 3-40, Yogesh Palkar 2-59, and Vinod Palkar 1-30.
Navhind CC: 126 all out in 31.5 overs. Vishant Sawant 24, Manoj Palkar 23, Yogesh Palkar 18, and Vinod Palkar 10 runs. Ayub Khan 3-29, Dhondu Tulaskar 2-30, Thango Naik 2-9, Vivek Karapurkar, Krishna Sawant, Abhijeet Talekar claimed a wicket each.
