MAPUSA: Bardez Deputy Collector Kapil Phadte filed complaint with the Mapusa Police against two unknown persons for allegedly abusing and threatening him with dire consequences.
According to the complainant, two persons namely a male and a female visited his office to apply for the thread ceremony.

The staff informed them that the thread ceremony is not permissible under Section 144 as per the North Collector’s order.
Later, both persons met the Deputy Collector in his cabin and requested for permission.
However, the Deputy Collector informed that such permission cannot be given in view of Section 144 of the CrPC.
Irked over the reply, the duo abused the Deputy Collector and threatened him with dire consequences.
