Centre criticised over Central Vista project

MARGAO: Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat on Thursday accused the Centre of being “irresponsible” by announcing Rs 20,000 crore Central Vista project in Delhi as essential service and for allowing the work to continue during the lockdown. 

“It is sad and painful that the “irresponsible” Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared Rs 20,000 crore Central Vista project in Delhi as essential service and allowed its work to continue during the lockdown,” Kamat said. He said presently people are struggling for oxygen, medicines, beds and vaccines during the pandemic all across the country.

Kamat said, “This act of the BJP government is an inhuman act and is like rubbing salt on the wounds of the people who are suffering because of government apathy.” 

“Our Leader Rahul Gandhi has consistently demanded that the government must provide free vaccines to all. Unfortunately, the Modi government has now passed on the responsibility to the States asking them to take a call on vaccination,” he said.
