MAPUSA: A delegation headed by Mapusa Youth Forum member Pravin Asolkar on Friday submitted memorandum to Mapusa Municipal Council Chairperson Shubhangi Vaigankar with regards to allotment and allocation of spots in the municipal market.

In the memorandum, the forum stated there are number of youth of Goan origin and residents within the jurisdiction of Mapusa town who have approached the Forum with respect to the allotment and allocation of the spots in the municipal market.
The forum claimed that after going through their details, it was observed that there is a need to give an employment opportunity to the local unemployed youth on priority basis towards the allocation of vending spots in the market. They also highlighted that many outsiders have taken over the businesses in the market.
The Forum pointed that this will be a helping hand for the better prospect of the local youth so that they can feed themselves and their respective families.
