CALATA-MAJORDA: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda defeated Betalbatim SC 3-0 to enter the semi-finals in the 30th St Rock’s super soccer organised by St. Rocks Youth Club, at St Rock’s ground, Calata-Majorda, on Tuesday.
Don Bosco attacked from the word go and forged ahead in the seventh minute through striker Francis Andrade who beat the Betalbatim keeper Milton D’Souza with a left footer placement shot from the top of the box of an assist created by Edgar Noronha.
At lemon break the score was 1-0 in favour of Don Bosco. Betalbatim could have leveled the score in the 38th minute but Klusner Pereira’s free-kick missed the rival target by inches.
Don Bosco doubled the lead in the 40th minute through Joel Colaco. In the dying minutes of the match, Cliff Barreto scored the third goal.
Don Bosco will now meet the winners of Sao Jose De Areal and CAC Cansaulim in the semi-finals.
