PANJIM: Justice Prithviraj Keshavrao Chavan has been sworn in as the Judge of the Bombay High Court at Goa.
Senior Judge Justice R D Dhanuka administered the oath of office in the Court premises, here, in the presence of Justice C V Bhadang, Justice Nutan D Sardessai, Advocate General of Goa Dattaprasad Lawande, President of the Goa High Court Bar Association J P Mulgaonkar and senior advocates.
Justice Chavan, who was serving as the Additional Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Bombay since June 5, 2017 has been elevated as Judge of the Bombay High Court. He earlier served as the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pune between September 2016 and June 2017. Born on February 22, 1963, he obtained LLB Degree from Nagpur University in 1987.
