PONDA: Nagzar Curti locals are complaining that domestic waste water connections are released into main nullah flowing in their area. To add to the problem the nullah is also become a dumping ground for garbage. The Nagzar local Damodar Naik said he had raised the issue with Panchayat but the menace is stopped. He said he has small bagayat on bank of nullah and faces stench smell as highly polluted water due to garbage waste and domestic waste dumped into nullah.
Several households had released their domestic waste water connection directly into nullah. He said the Pollution Control Board and the Panchayat should take action into matter and save the nullah water from pollution. The nullah is also used by farmers for agriculture purpose in various parts of Ponda and surrounding Kavlem, Bandora Panchayats.
