CALANGUTE: In yet another incident unruly tourist driving on the beach, Calangute police arrested a Delhi tourist driving a jeep on Candolim beach on Tuesday.
Police were informed after the four-wheel drive vehicle got stuck in the sand at one of the entrance to Candolim beach, blocking the way at around noon.

Calangute police said they arrested Lokesh Bansal, aged 28, a resident of Delhi who had rented a jeep to drive along with others while on a vacation to Goa. “The accused has been arrested for driving in rash and negligent manner and for venturing on the Candolim beach frequented by tourists and locals thereby endangering human life,” Calangute police said. Bansal was arrested after being booked under Sections 279 and 336 IPC.
