SIOLIM: The Siolim unit of Shiv Sena has submitted a memorandum to the local panchayat demanding a public toilet at the market.
A mini bazaar and traditional weekly market is being held at Marna in Siolim, every Wednesday. People from Siolim and the surrounding areas visit the bazaar.
The memorandum states that the Marna bazaar has over 20-25 stalls dealing in general commodities, clothes, tea, liquor and vegetables.
The memorandum states that there is no toilet facility at the bazaar due to which the vendors and shoppers were facing a lot of problem. It urges the panchayat to build a toilet urgently at the bazaar.
Failing to do so, the Shiv Sena Siolim has threatened to organise a dharna to press for its demand.
