Palyem: Concerns have been raised over the safety of students at Shree Bhumika English High School in Palyem village following an incident in which a student reportedly suffered a fracture while playing during the interval.
Local resident Deepak Naik alleged that the student was injured after coming into contact with materials related to an unfinished stage project on the school grounds. He claimed that no compensation has been provided to the student by the contractor so far.
According to Naik, the Palyem Panchayat had granted permission for construction of the stage. However, he alleged that work has remained suspended for the past 45 days, leaving construction materials at the school premises.
Naik said the materials could pose a safety risk to students who use the ground for playing and other activities.
He urged the contractor either to complete the stage work at the earliest or remove the construction materials from the school premises to ensure the safety of students.
