PANJIM: The Goa unit of Shiv Sena has urged Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to hand over his charge to some other legislator for smooth administration till the time he becomes fit enough to perform the duty.
In a letter to Chief Minister, Shiv Sena Goa President Jitesh Kamat has requested Parrikar to hand over the charge to another legislator to save Goa from further destruction.
Kamat said that people of Goa are being misguided on his health by his office, BJP leaders, ministers and others.
“Action speaks louder than words and you were always known for your prompt actions. However, your inaction makes us believe the rumours that your health conditions have incapacitated to you from performing your duty as CM of Goa,” the letter states.
Kamat said that from the recent photograph, clicked while inspecting the Mandovi bridge work, it can be made out that Parrikar has become very weak and it is advisable to take rest till he recovers from the undeclared illness.
Kamat said governance in the State is deteriorating in the absence of CM and it has affected major administrative decisions like recruitment, resumption of mining activities, solution to sand mining crisis, and overall development.
“Whole governance is at standstill and ministers from your own Cabinet have also publicly accepted the blockade in administration,” the letter further states.
“I hope you will be sensitive towards sufferings of 15 lakh Goans and hand over the charge as soon as possible,” it added.
