Shobha Dhumaskar’s trial adjourned

PANJIM: CBI Judge PV Sawaikar Saturday adjourned the trial of former Director of Prosecution Shobha Dhumaskar to 8th October. Dhumaskar is being charged with corruption charges under Section various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

 Shobha Dhumaskar who is being represented by Adv Saresh Lotlikar Saturday sought exemption from appearing for hearing.
 The Court was informed by Public Prosecutor Anuradha Talaulikar that the Government is going to appoint a Special Public Prosecutor for the case. Adv Aires Rodrigues also submitted an application to the Court seeking to assist the Prosecution on Saturday.
On September 6, the CBI Court directed Shobha Dhumaskar to face trial.
