MAPUSA: Striker Agnel Colaco scored a hat-trick as Tuff Laxmi Prasad Sports Club registered a comfortable 5-0 victory over Curtorim Gymkhana in the fifth round match of the Goa Professional League, at Duler Stadium, here, on Tuesday. At half time, the score was 1-0.
Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC made their first substitution in the 29th minute by replacing Dalesh Pednekar with Agnel Colaco. In the very next minute, striker Opara made a timely cross to the newly substituted Agnel, who neatly tapped in the first goal for his side.
In the second session, Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC took control of the proceedings. In the 46th minute, Tuff Laxmi Prasad SC defender Paulo Joao came up with a dangerous challenge on rival striker Xavier Dias to only receive a yellow card from referee Mario Pereira. Xavier had to be substituted with Donald Rocha following an injury.
However, in the 55th minute, Opara doubled the advantage. Two minutes later, the Nigerian added another for his brace.
In the 58th minute, Agnel secured his second of the evening by giving finishing touches to a cross by Nicholas Rodrigues. In the dying minute, shot in the ball and completed his hat-trick.
