PANJIM: As Goa’s links with the drug cartel-Bollywood have surfaced, the two names that were recently in the news over a rave party at Vagator could be under the scanner of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Enforcement Directorate (ED).
It is reliably learnt that details of Bollywood actor Kapil Jhaveri and Sunburn EDM co-promoter Shailesh Shetty have been shared with the two agencies. Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya, who has denied charges of dealing in drugs, was on Monday interrogated by the ED team in Mumbai.

The probe might also look into Arya’s presence, if any, at the rave party that was busted by the Crime Branch of Goa Police in the wee hours of August 15-16.
At the same time, Tirumala Tirupati Multi-State Cooperative Bank, promoted by Jhaveri in South Goa, has also come under the radar. The investigation agencies are probing whether the bank has been used to park ill-gotten money through drugs.
Both Jhaveri and Shetty, were recently bailed out even as their links in the rave party are being probed by Crime Branch. While Jhaveri, along with three foreign nationals has been booked for possessing drugs and attending the rave party; 19 others, including foreigners and Indian tourists, have been booked under Section 188 of the IPC following the raid that caught the attention of the national media. Shetty was eventually arrested for co-hosting the party along with Jhaveri.
On the other hand, Arya is accused of supplying drugs to Rhea Chakraborty who is accused number 1 in the death of her actor boyfriend Shushant Singh Rajput. The businessman has denied charges.
