MARGAO: The villagers of Varca who have been complaining about water shortage in certain wards have been informed by the PWD officials that the issue should be resolved by March 20.
It may be recalled that this issue about the water shortage has been unresolved for months now. To address the issue, the village panchayat has held several meetings with the authorities concerned and the MLA as well.

Meetings and inspections have also been held with the PWD officials where the faults in the pipeline and reasons behind the water shortage were identified. This issue had been raised in the recent gram sabha as well. Sarpanch Selu Fernandes had informed mediapersons that she too is suffering from the issue in her ward and the PWD engineer concerned had given an assurance that it would be solved by March 20.
