People thirst for water in Morjim for past two months

Around 400 people from Urmalbagwada, Morjim are thirsting for water for the past two months. Villagers are forced to bring water from other places by renting a rickshaw and tanker for everyday use and are forced to buy packaged water for consumption. Residents of the area say that taps have run dry in the village and several complaints to the concerned departments have yielded no results.

The women have given the PWD department, the WRD department and the Mandrem MLA a 4-day ultimatum. The women have threatened to stage a morcha if the water supply is not regularized in the next four days.
