MARGAO: The Maina Curtorim police on Wednesday have registered a case of kidnapping following a complaint from school Principal from Salcete after a 15-year-old minor student went missing. According to information, the Principal during the Assembly noticed that the minor girl, who is a boarder in the school, missing and lodged a complaint with the police as the girl could not be traced during the search.
Maina Curtorim PI Gurudas Kadam when contacted confirmed having received a complaint from the school principal in connection with the missing girl.
Since it is suspected that the minor could have been kidnapped, the police have registered an offence of kidnapping against unknown persons.
Further investigation is in progress.
