CHINCHINIM: Navelim SC thrashed SC Davorlim 3-0 to enter into the quarter- finals of the 15th CRC Chinichinim Cup football tournament organized by CRC Chinchinim, at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim, on Friday.
The match started fast track mode with both teams dominating the proceedings with upfront moves
Alvito Colaco and Anil Shivolkar were at their best for Navelim SC while Romeo Colaco and Ryan Furtado helped SC Davorlim put up a good show.
It took 15 minutes to score 1-0 for Navelim SC after a spot kick was awarded; the spot kick was taken by Clinton Niasso.
Mobin Gomes doubled the lead for Navelim SC in the 30th minute while Clinton Niasso made it 3-0 in the 60th minute.
After that SC Davorlim tried to come back in the game but the ball was mostly confined in the midfield. Navelim SC will meet the winners of Betalbatim SC and St Rock Majorda on August 22.
