VERNA: Carmel College, Nuvem defeated Dempo College, Panjim 1-0 to become the champions of the 1st all Colleges girls football tournament organised by Verna veterans, at Verna Panchyat ground on Monday.
Both the teams dished out an attacking football.
However Carmel College had the first say at the goal as Valanka D’Costa got a splendid chance in the 2nd minute of the match, which she shot past the keeper to score the lone goal of the match.
