The Chicalim children park located near Chicalim junction in Vasco was inaugurated in the year 2013 and used to attract large number of children and citizens during the summer vacation in the years gone by. Now, the park is in a state of total disrepair.
Playing facilities such as swings, slides, merry-go-round etc are in a broken condition. However, even now some children are seen playing in the park. What is disturbing is the number of empty and broken glass bottles that lie strewn all over the place. These glass pieces can cause injury to children visiting the park.

It appears that, at night, the place is being used for anti-social activities. The park is in dire need of maintenance. This task could be handed over to a public sector undertaking (PSU) for development under the CSR initiative.
