MARGAO: The Salcete MLAs continued their hold in the villages as in all three panchayats their panels gained control with Nuvem MLA Wilfred D’Sa sweeping the Nuvem panchayat by getting 10 of his candidates elected in the 11-member panchayat.
However, in Betalbatim his bête noire Mickky Pacheco gave him a tough fight and he gained control by getting only one extra pancha elected. Similar, was the case in Chandor Cavorim.
