Kadamba marks 41st anniversary

PANJIM: The Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) celebrated its 41st anniversary by offering prayers for the wellbeing of the staff and for the buses at a function held, at Panjim KTC bus terminus, on Friday.

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant also attended the celebrations briefly and extended his wishes to all the officers and staff of the KTC on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami. He urged the KTC to continue to serve the public and to reach greater heights in terms of what they can do. 

Vaso MLA and KTCL Chairman Carlos Almeida hailed the hard work of the staff and also spoke of the history and achievements of KTCL. The future plans of the corporation were also outlined by KTCL officials. Almeida further added that KTCL needs to upgrade its bus stands, amongst other steps needed to make the corporation profitable again and sustainable. 

While staff members were felicitated for their service during the COVID-19 pandemic and other achievements and also meritorious students. Panjim Mayor Rohit Monserrate was amongst the other dignitaries present.
