North Goa lawyers had boycotted all four civil and criminal courts in protest of the sudden secretive shifting of the courts on 11 December last year to Patto Plaza. The lawyers withdrew the boycott after the High Court dismissed the plea challenging the shifting of court last week.
The North Goa Lawyers’ Association, supported by the Bar Association of Bombay High Court at Goa, had opposed the shifting of the four courts to ‘Spaces’ building at Patto Plaza.
The meeting also resolved to hold demonstration before the bench of the Bombay High Court and unanimously decided to demand that a senior judge of the high court be appointed as administrative judge of the Bench at Panjim.
