MARGAO: Goans for Dabolim Only Convenor Fr Eremito Rebello on Wednesday said that Santa Cruz MLA Babush Monserrate has expressed his full support to the ongoing agitation for the scrapping of Mopa airport.
He said a GFDO delegation had called on Monserrate seeking his support to the movement for retention of Dabolim as Goa’s only civilian international airport.
“The MLA has expressed his full support to the demand for Dabolim only. He has said that he is fully supporting the demand for retaining Dabolim as Goa’s only civilian airport”, he added.
Fr Rebello said the GFDO will hold a meeting at Taleigao on coming Sunday.
