Panic gripped a woman, after her one-old-year child was locked in the flat, when the main door latch got accidentally closed at Melisa Port View Building near El-Monte, Vasco, on Wednesday.
According to Vasco Fire Brigade, Swizal Rebello got locked in the flat situated on the second floor, when her mother was out at the main door and the child pushed the door accidentally, thereby getting it automatically locked.
However, the worried mother sought help of Vasco Fire Brigade who mmediately swung into action and gained entry by opening the window and rescued the child.
, said Station Assistant Officer Pretam Bandekar.
Bandekar recalled that this is third such incident reported in Vasco in recent past, where either due to negligence of the people, door gets closed or due to some other reasons.
