VASCO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Sankalp Amonkar along with his supporters on Thursday submitted a memorandum to the Harbour Coastal Police Station demanding an in-depth investigation into the Nu Shi Nalini vessel episode.
Amonkar alleged the involvement of Urban Development Minister Milind Naik in the episode and demanded that the Canacona-based company’s licence in MPT be cancelled.

Amonkar praised the Harbour Coastal Police for action swiftly in filing a case against the ship owners.
He claimed that there was a mastermind involved in getting the unmanned vessel carrying 2,300 tonnes of naphtha to MPT.
Amonkar alleged the involvement of Milind and MPT chairman in bringing the ship to MPT and reminded Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant of his assurance to file a criminal case against the MPT chairman for endangering the lives of people by allowing the vessel to drift in the cyclonic winds.
Amonkar claimed that there was no case filed against the MPT chairman with the fear that a Cabinet Minister would be exposed.
Amonkar alleged that Urban Development Minister had once said that the vessel carried sludge and not naphtha thus misrepresenting the contents of the cargo to help a Canacona-based company operating in MPT.
Meanwhile, efforts to contact Urban Development Minister Milind Naik for his reaction to the allegations levelled against him by Amonkar proved futile as he was not available.
