MAPUSA: The death of two Andhra natives on the opening day of Sunburn Klassique on Friday is still under suspense since the viscera test of the deceased persons is awaited to ascertain the exact cause of how they died.
DySP and SDPO North Gajanan Prabhudesai informed that the post mortem of both the deceased has been completed. However, the doctors have reserved the report to declare the exact cause of death. The viscera test is mandatory to ascertain the exact cause of death, he added.
“The cause of the death is pending since we are awaiting chemical analysis and pathological report. The viscera will be sent to a forensic laboratory out of Goa for examination,” said Prabhudessai.
Sources informed that the two had come all the way from Andhra Pradesh to attend Sunburn Klassique music festival and died outside the gates of the venue of the Electronic Dance Music festival.
The deaths were reported at 2.30pm on Friday just before the opening of Sunburn Klassique festival.
The two tourists, Sai Prasad, 26, and Venkat, 31, are IT professionals and had come together to Goa to attend the event. They had checked in into a hotel at Ashwem.
While speculation was that the two IT professionals breathed their last before reaching the hospital in Mapusa, police claimed that both had died of heart attack. Venkat reportedly died in the ambulance while Prasad expired on the way to Mapusa Hospital.
Congress, on Friday, took a dig at the BJP who said before the festival that the EDM would be drugs-free while Aam Aadmi Party demanded that the three-day music festival be stopped immediately following the death of the youth.
