PANJIM: Claiming that the demonetisation move of the Central government was leaked to BJP leaders across the country in advance, Goa Forward on Wednesday alleged that a Cabinet Minister from North Goa attempted to buy a property worth Rs 2.40 crore in cash and wanted it gifted to him.
“Almost a fortnight ago one Cabinet minister from North Goa tried to buy land measuring almost 4000 sq mtrs worth Rs 2.40 crore in cash and asked the owner of the land to gift the property by a deed instead of making a sale deed,” Goa Forward spokesperson Durgadas Kamat told media persons.
“This clearly shows that demonetisation move was leaked to BJP leaders in advance,” he said, refusing to name the minister involved.
Kamat also said that another minister has started exchanging his Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes through Goa Dairy and the cash collected by Goa Dairy is being taken by the Minister to convert his black money into white. “Prime Minister is shielding black money hoarders while fooling Goans through emotional speeches,” he said.
