CHORAO: Avni Shuttlers won the All-Chorao Badminton tournament defeating Chodankar Brothers, Kerem by 21/20, 19/21 and 21/19 in a tough encounter, organised by Colaco Brothers of Chorao, at Saude-Chorao, recently.
The winners were awarded Rs 10,000 plus trophy while the runners-up received Rs 8,000 plus trophy.
Ex-Sarpanch of Chorao Shrikrishna Haldankar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Devikrishna Urban Credit Co-operative Chairman, Vassuki Shet, Engg. Jaikrishna Tilve and other dignitaries.
The individual awards are as follows: Best upcoming player: Harish Chodankar; Best defender-of-the-tournament: Atish Chodankar; Disciplined player-of-the-tournament: Jaikrishna Tilve; Best smasher-of-the-tournament: Aday Karbotkar;Best player: Kedar Chari
