MARGAO: Bhatikar Model High School, Margao defeated A J De Almeida High School, Ponda by 8 wickets to emerge as winners of the South District level U-17 boys cricket tournament organized by DSYA held at open ground, Fatorda.
Batting first, A J de Almeida team were bundled out all out for 65 runs in 14.4 overs. Ved Patel was the top scorer with 18 runs while Shubham Gajinkar, Shubham Chede and Deep Kasavankar scalped 3 wickets each.
In reply, Bhatikar chased down the target in 5.3 overs. Kaushal Hattangadi (22) & Shubham Gajinkar (27) were the top contributors in the chase.
