MAPUSA: Mapusa police on Wednesday arrested 20-years-old Everesto D’Souza for allegedly cultivating cannabis worth Rs 4.75 lakh at his residence in Tivim.
According to Mapusa police, a team comprising LPSI Vibha Volvoikar, PSI Ashish Porob, Head Constable Irshad Watange, Sushant Chopdekar, Police Constable Prakash Polekar, Franky Vaz, Rajesh Kandolkar and Abhishek Kasar conducted a narcotic raid at the residence of accused at Dhamadem, Tivim and caught him red-handed while illegally cultivating cannabis worth Rs 4.75 lakh approximately.

Mapusa police have arrested the accused under Section 20(a)(i) of NDPS Act 1985 and further investigation is on.
