MARGAO: Mahila Congress of Goa has expressed grave concerns over the three back to back incidents of crimes inflicted on minor children. The Mahila Congress has questioned whether the children of India are safe or not and questioned the security of the children at schools.
Mahila Congress President Pratima Coutinho has questioned whether the children of India are safe in the schools and institutions they are sent in. “The Goa Police have to do some verification and step up the security of students at schools and institutions,” said Pratima.
She said that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who holds the Home portfolio, has to take the security of children seriously.
“Since Goa is a tourist destination we have to be warned by the incidents in the country and take corrective steps,” she said.
Pratima mocked the chief minister for having taken no punitive action in the case of Vasco minor girl rape case.
