PANJIM: In a disturbing incident, two groups of students of a reputed educational institute indulged in a street fight in full public view.

While the incident occurred outside the campus, albeit within the Cujira educational complex, the management was quick to rusticate the students for a week as videos went viral on various social media platforms.
“It is an embarrassing situation that our students resorted to a physical fight. We have taken strict cognisance of the incident and rusticated them for one week,” a senior official told Herald.
The school authorities summoned the parents of these students on Tuesday, even as the Agassaim Police will be deployed outside the school campus to ensure law and order is maintained.
Sources said that a student who had visited the school to obtain his leaving certificate was accompanied by his gang to compete with his former schoolmates. However, the verbal dual turned into a street fight, a video of which was recorded and circulated on social media, gathering unwanted attention. What prompted the differences between them is being probed as the school and the police are inquiring into it.
