The Margao police have registered a case of culpable homicide after a person, who was injured in an assault case, succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
PI Rajendra Prabhudesai said the assault incident had occurred in the city a fortnight ago, wherein Arun sustained grievous injuries. The victim breathed his last in the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim.
In this connection, the Margao police had arrested one person for causing grievous injuries, but have now changed the offence to culpable homicide.
Further investigations are on.
