MARGAO, JAN 19 (HR) — The Cuncolim police on Monday arrested Swapnesh Desai in connection with the assault on the maulana of the Pairyaband Mosque in Cuncolim.
He was later released on bail. The court has however, directed the accused to report to the Cuncolim police station for seven days.
Meanwhile, the Chandrawado-Fatorda based Citizens Welfare Forum, at an emergency meeting, took stock of the assault on the maulana.
