VALPOI: A carcass of the monkey found at Nagargao village just few meter away from the residential locality has caused fear of KFD disease affecting the village.
Valpoi forest official visited site and undertaken measures to prevent spread of the diseases. KFD cases are down in Sattari this rainy season, but the death of a monkey has created fear among the people of Nagargao and surrounding areas.
Valpoi forest official Mrs Lata Parwar informed that all relevant process had already taken up in order to prevent spread of affected ticks in surrounding areas.
People demanded awareness programe on KFD in the village and surrounding areas.
