I am unequivocally against Mopa: Reginaldo

PANJIM: Attending a huge Congress workers congregation at Quepem, South Goa Congress Lok Sabha Candidate Reginaldo Lourenco said he was unequivocally against Mopa airport and was for upgradation of the present Dabolim airport only. 
He was addressing a packed workers meeting organized by Quepem MLA Babu Kavlekar. Reginaldo also espoused various local issues and promised to never undermine the trust and loyalty of the faith that the ordinary Congress worker reimposed in him.
Reiterating that he had neither lobbied for the Congress ticket nor been a candidate propped up by vested business interests, Reginaldo declared he would be the voice of the Goan Aam Admi in parliament.
Quepem MLA Babu Kavlekar castigated the state Goa for failing in giving justice to the common Goan he alleged that huge favoritism and intimidation by ruling party cadres was on to undermine public sentiment against the state Govt which would  translate into a vote for the Congress party in the ensuring Lok Sabha polls. 
He called upon the workers to repeat the history of Quepem giving lead to the Congress as had been in the case at successive parliamentary elections.
Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai said the huge response of the Quepem Congress voters had enthused the Congress condemned the entry of Pramod Muthalik into the BJP, which although kept on hold, had exposed the relation of the saffron party with this lunatic fringe group. 
He said Parivartan had managed to finish one important backbone of our economy and with Muthalik’s entry could spell doom to the tourism industry. 
Sardesai said his organization Goemkar had initiated a campaign “Ev Vot- Ekvot” to mobiles all secular non-Congress elements to back Reginaldo for the South Goa parliamentary elections.
