PANJIM: The Goa Chief Minister’s Apprenticeship Training Scheme, 2021 will be implemented through the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC).
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday told reporters that the State cabinet approved the proposal to compliment the Central government’s apprenticeship promotion scheme.

The scheme will cover all categories of apprentices as defined in the Apprentices Act 1961 (un-skilled and semi-skilled). The objective of the scheme is to make it more responsive to industry and youth in the State.
The government has also made a budgetary provision of Rs five crore for the purpose of implementing the proposed scheme. The scheme will be in force for one-year.
