Police said unknown culprits effected entry into the flat located on the fourth floor of the apartment, by breaking open the lock and latch of the main door and committed theft gold ornaments including gold biscuits weighing 100 and 40 grams, all worth rupees nine lakhs eight thousand rupees.
“According to the complainant, the theft occurred between June 14 to June 22 when no
one was present in the flat as the house owner along with his wife was out of station to meet their daughter studying in Hyderabad and the same came to light when they returned back home on Monday afternoon” police said.
Vasco police has registered the case under section 454, 457,380 of IPC and is further investigating in the case.
