PANJIM: WCM Krystal Fernandes remained undefeated till the 6th round in the U-10 Girls Classic of the World Youth Chess Championship and Al Ain Open Classic played Al Ain, UAE.
Krystal is on 5 points, she has won 4 games and drew two games in the 6th round. She defeated Tereshechkina Taisiya of Russia. Swera Braganza is on 4 points. She drew with WCA Condori Ana of BOL.
Master Anurag Mhamal is on 2.5 points after 4th rounds having lost to GM Durarbayli Vasif of AZE in the fourth round. WGM Bhakti Kulkrni is on 2 points after winning the fourth round defeating WIM M Amina of ALG.
Both Goans are playing in the Al Ain open classic A Chess Championship. Rohan Ahuja who is playing in U-16 Classic is on 3.5 points after 6th rounds, after losing to Nurgali Nazerke of KAZ in the 6th round.
In the U -14 Classic Girls WCM Riya Sawant is on 4 points after winning in the 5th round with Ragi Rita of Syria but losing to Kiolbasa Oliwia Zoz of Poland in the 6th round.
In the U-12 Open Classic CM Nitish Belurkar is on 4 points, beating Alesandrov Zakhar of Russia in the 5th round but lost to Matviishen Viktor of Ukraine in the 6th round.
In the U-8 Girls Classics Gunjal Chopdekar lost her 5th and 6th rounds and remain on 4 points.
