MAYEM: The Mahila Bhandari community of Bicholim taluka has
threatened to protest if the police fails to detain the attackers of Bhandari
community leader and St Andre MLA Vishnu Surya Wagh.
Addressing a news conference at Bicholim on Tuesday, Geetali Naik,
president of Bhandari community (Bicholim taluka) said, “The State
government will be solely responsible if the Bhandari community women
protests against the government’s failure to detain the culprits involved in
this case.” The members said the mastermind behind this entire issue
needs to be identified.
The press conference was attended by Bhandari community (Bicholim
taluka) Secretary Alka Usapkar, Sruti Ghatwal, Pooja Madkar, Aaryan
Gaonkar and member of central women committee Vrunda Mayekar.
