CANACONA: Jotiba Parshuram Karmalkar, 18, died after he was dragged by the seawater currents while his cousin who tried to save him was rescued by locals and taken to Hospicio hospital for treatment. The incident occurred at 6 pm on Saturday at Agonda in Canacona. Canacona police informed that Karmalkar, from Shivnagar, Xeldem in Quepem got drowned in the sea waters at the southern side of Agonda beach presumably dragged by reverse currents.
