PANJIM: St Xavier’s College, Mapusa, won the Inter-Collegiate Hockey Women Championship 2023-24, organised by Goa University, at hockey turf, Dayanand Bandodkar Krida Sankool, Peddem-Mapusa, recently.
In the final, St Xavier’s College defeated Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, with a final score 5-0.

In total, four women’s teams participated in the Inter-College Hockey Championship.
Best player was awarded to Prajwala Harmalkar of St Xavier’s College.
Chief guaest Capt Dr Sam Braganza, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye, Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem, along with Balachandra Jadar, Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University, presented the medals and trophies to the winners and runners-up.
