VASCO: Two youth were killed and another was injured in an accident at Headland Sada on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Mormugao police, all the three youth were travelling towards Vasco from Headland Sada on a motorcycle (riding triple seat), when the rider of Hero Honda splendor motorcycle dashed against an oncoming Volkswagen Vento car and then against a Maruti Zen car which was coming on opposite direction and then fell on the road near Rumdawada in Headland Sada.
The impact was such that two of them including Shubham Naik (20), a resident of Sada and Arbaz Bagwan (18), a resident of Birla, suffered serious injuries and were declared brought dead by the doctors at the Cottage hospital, Chicalim.
Third youth namely Ashif Nadaf (19), a resident of Birla, is presently undergoing treatment at GMC Bambolim where his condition is reportedly serious.
As per the police, the victims were proceeding towards Vasco to play in a ground. Police have registered a case of accident and booked the driver of Volkswagen Vento car. Further investigation is in progress.
