Team Babush comes out in support of their leader

Police forces deployed to search Babush’s residence and farmhouse, the place of the crime; Mobile forensic lab stationed outside farmhouse; Offices in St Cruz and Taleigao were kept open; Supporters in Taleigao poured in to offer support

PANJIM: A team comprising of the Crime Branch and the Women’s Police Station has raided the farmhouse at Taleigao to look for evidence where the offence allegedly occurred. The team was led by Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Karthik Kashyap in the afternoon on Thursday. 
Kashyap said that they have collected crucial evidence from the farmhouse. He informed that the panchnama was also conducted in the presence of the victim. A mobile forensic van was also called for the collection of forensic evidence to establish the case scientifically. The team has collected all the evidence, Kashyap informed. 
Police forces were deployed in Taleigao during the course of the raid and search. Panjim police in charge, Krishan Sinari along with his officers and force in three vans were present at the Taleigao to prevent any law and order situation. 
Right from Monserrate’s residence in Taleigao to the farmhouse and at the main junction, forces were deployed.  On Thursday morning both of Babush’s offices in St Cruz as well as in Taleigao were kept open and a lot of supporters were seen coming and going in the Taleigao office while the St Cruz office wasn’t as busy.
 Babush’s voters woke up to a shock on hearing the news in the morning on Thursday while some of them believed that he has been framed. Babush owns four bungalows in Taleigao and one in Miramar. Police teams have only searched the farmhouse so far. 
His close aide, Sydney Barretto who is Zilla Panchayat member was present at the farmhouse during the course of the searches by the team of police. 
After news of his surrender at the Crime Branch broke, there was a lot of flurry in Taleigao. Most of his close supporters, which includes a few present corporators and some former ones  were seen at the Crime Branch in Ribandar.
