IMD forecasts rainfall on April 16, 17

PANJIM: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rain/thunder showers over the State on April 16 and 17 and said that the weather is likely to be dry across Goa in the next two days.

IMD also said that the highest maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius was recorded at Panjim and Mormugao.
“Weather was dry over Goa. There was no large change in maximum temperatures and they were normal over north Goa district and south Goa district,” the IMD report states.
The report further states that the weather is likely to be dry on Saturday and Sunday, whereas light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur over Goa on Monday and Tuesday.
Speaking to Herald, IMD-Goa director M L Sahu said, “Temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius were recorded on Friday, which is almost similar to last year during the same time, in fact last year during the same month the temperature was higher by one to two degrees.”
